Steady product refinement. It’s a standard feature at Member365.
One of the secrets to Member365’s ongoing success is steady product refinement.
Inspiration comes from many sources, including the way we continually roll out a range of modules to streamline membership management for our customers. Sometimes, adjustments are needed to those modules on a case-by-case basis. In some instances, those adjustments become system-wide improvements.
That’s what happened with the Alberta Veterinary Technologist Association (ABVTA): a long-time client of Member365.
A unique challenge, a system-wide solution…
Michelle Welch (Event and Member Services Administrator) and Madison Furness (Marketing and Communications Coordinator) explain that their association–2,500 members and growing–had a unique challenge in the way they needed to manage their member benefits, which is one of several signature features offered to every one of our customers via a range of service modules.
Member365’s member benefits module allows for the configuration of benefits, post duration, email templates and on-screen messages to enhance how every association can fully engage with their members. However, Welch explains that because of how the ABVTA is set up to serve its membership, the default setting for that module created unexpected challenges. They needed segmented benefits on rollout: the ability to show a different collection of benefits for different groups within their membership list.
“So we asked Member365’s support team about this, pointing out that if we could segment from the start, we’d avoid creating duplicate benefits that would otherwise–confusingly–show up twice on the user’s end.”
Two weeks later, it was rolled out for the ABVTA–and in this case, applied system-wide soon thereafter. “This system change made things more streamline and user friendly,” says Welch. “Not only did it mean one less task sorting through the member benefits, but it also meant clear communication for our members. It’s really gratifying to see an improvement like that taking shape for everyone.”
A Culture Of Steady Improvements
Of course, listening carefully to feedback received during customer support sessions is just one of several ways that Member365 seeks to steadily improve how associations can better connect with their members. Clients–including the ABVTA–also enjoy the benefits of our intuitive approach to service delivery because it’s built into the way we work, design, and refine.
Customers see all that daily in the tools that come standard with Member365. As Furness explains: “As a marketing coordinator, it matters a lot to me to have well-thought-out modules for connecting directly with our members. And Member365 really delivers.” She cites the right-out-of-the-box, intuitive user interface that makes the membership portal and newsletter a joy to work with.
“With Member365, I love working on outreach because it’s so easy to build your product and consider options while you work. They deliver it in an uncomplicated way, unlike other products out there. And that matters a lot to me.” Furness adds that Member365’s built-in metrics also help them engage in their own product improvement process. “Our newsletter clicks have increased significantly, and that’s directly because of the insights we get, thanks to Member365.”
Customer service at Member365: all about listening and learning

You never know where your next big idea will come from. That’s why, at Member365, we consider customer service a daily opportunity to listen carefully–and learn more.
With the ABVTA example, it meant a system-wide improvement resulting from customer feedback. Just as important, though, is that customers feel listened to and appreciated by being there for them when they reach out for help. Welch concludes: “I notice that if there is an issue that I am having difficulty troubleshooting, they get on a call with you and check in until things have been resolved.”
“Their approach is very step-focused, and that’s just one more way that Member365’s team can take in new ideas from customers and make great things happen.
They’re at your side when you need them, and they’re always listening for ways to improve the product experience–that’s the Member365 way of serving customers!”
